Pune — June 17, 2025: The start of the 2025–26 academic session turned into a festive event across Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) schools on Monday. Students were welcomed warmly by civic leaders and staff with flowers, school kits, and motivational greetings.
At PM Shri PCMC Gyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Primary School in Mhetrewadi, Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh officially inaugurated the new academic year. During his visit, he distributed educational materials, engaged with students, and launched an innovation lab to encourage creative learning.
Commissioner Singh reaffirmed PCMC’s dedication to enhancing not just academic standards but also supporting the emotional and social growth of students. He also noted that uniforms, books, and learning kits were being provided through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system to ensure smooth access to essentials.
